DM800 HD PVR Bricked on first day

Hi recently bought DM800 HD PVR clone with sim 210(i opened the box after No CA FOUND Error) and boot loader 84 which was on firmware page. I made a mistake of flashing dream elite 2.1 image on dm800. I have No CA found error.

I have rs232 cable bought from maplin female both sides. I am tried to follow advise by going to threads regarding this problem but no success. I dont under why dreambox is not connecting to PC using RS232 lead. Is there particular lead rs232 i need? whats the different between null modem cable and the one i am using.

Please help i have spend ?134 on this box i want to make it work. What iamage is needed for clone with sim 210 and loader 84.

Image wasnt your problem,if its a sim2 box then flash with sim2 or sim 2.01.
Delete the image and download a fresh sim 2 image.
As for cable you need a null modem cable,about 2 quid off Ebay.
Use Dreamup and some patience it will be ok and if that doesnt work use the Dreambox Enforcer program.

Is this the correct one. i have 2nd stage pack and patched dreamup. i have tried every thing noting is connecting dreambox to dreamup using the lead i have. Any suggestion over which lead to buy i might go to maplin if its not the correct lead i have. I have opened up the box again it says on top of the sim SIM210. I dont know which image would be best for my clone version once dreapup works with correct lead what image i can install.

Please help here i am in panic mode.

Dont panic its all part of the learning curve, if you,re going to waste 11 quid from Maplins you need this one below.

Download Dreamup 1.3.3.4 and try and see if you get a response from the box but connect to a desktop pc for best results.

Dont panic if you dont get immediate response you will be lucky if you do.
Biggest key is patience if Dreamup 1.3.3.4 doesnt work try other versions there are loads.
Also try it with null modem and ethernet together but have a good read on the tutorial No Ca Found,if you search more you will find similar threads and most have fixed their boxes.
Common mistake people make when flashing a box.

When yopu tried to flash the box first time round did ypu use web browser method? Easiest way and only takes minutes.

It wont make the slightest bit of difference mate,all the bootloaders are updated drivers.They change all the time.

Have both a null cable an regular Ethernet cable at same time. Few threads on this forum regarding no Ca with all the info in. If it's a new 2.10 sim, older 2.01 will work on it too .

Download Dreambox Control Centre,i think in tools there is an option to install ipk files which the ts panel is .

Why do you want this for now anyway?

Andy i cannot get past video inout selection no matter what i press it goes to scart black screen back to wizard asking me to choose between dvi, scart and YPBPR. I have dvi connected to the box. how do i skip wizard?

Make sure you dont have both connected at same time.
Make sure you have selected the correct hdmi channel on your tv.
It will also be on the oled screen on the box.

opkg install http://www.digitalworldzlinux.co.uk/...5.0_mipsel.ipk into dreambox. Never used Telnet. I want rats bouguests plugin for auto update. Thanks
