VAR/ECT problem

start dcc
click telnet
then copy and paste 1st line then press enter
copy and paste 2nd line then press enter

touch /etc/cccam.cfg

chmod 644 /etc/cccam.cfg

now go back to the left and click ftp

double click on etc
scroll down till u see cccam.cfg
right click it
click edit
click edit again at top then paste your line in
top left click file
save and exit
click yes

The other issue is the pc does not connect with box from time to time

if you have the file in place why not just copy n paste the info over from your notepad file. might be worth reflashing your image too, maybe corrupt image????

. I have reflashed my image. When I copy and paste. Save and exit then check file it is empty for some readson it does not save info

Dreambox Control Center E2

the dreambox may not be reading notepad try a linux based notepad ++ see if that makes any difference

thats why i said make the cfg file like this

are you using a router or a bt hub
if a hub then click hub in dcc then reconnect
if router then click router in dcc then reconnect
cuz if you pick the wrong one
it still lets you in
but doz not save the file when you save and exit

for the last hour i been trying to connect DCC but keep coming up with FTP Disconnected. pc/router connect ok i done ip seach checked box ip

Have you tried Flashfxp,easy to use and its in downloads mate.

dcc or any ftp program needs to have the right ip
to make a connection

in network on you box check the ip of your box
then put it in dcc or any other ftp programs you use

if you still cant get ftp to work
go in to your router settings and open port 21

My m8 had look and find. Some files that where clashing with CCcam file. So nnow averything ok thanks guys for your help
