    No IP address to FlashUp/DreamUp

    Hi,

I've bricked my DM800HD se with a "R01: CA not found" problem.

I tried using FlashUp/DreamUp, but I don't have an IP address displaying on the lcd screen, and it has no serial port, just a micro-usb.

I can't figure out what to do.

Can anyone please give me advice on how to resolve this without returning it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yours kindly,

    RR

A USB to mini-USB cable... Fairly common with some cell-phones, digital cameras, etc. If you don't have one, you'll need to buy one...

This worked a treat for me....I think it's only for clones though

Here is the files needed to flash your DM800SE.

      Second Stage Bootloader
      http://hotfile.com/dl/124063258/8165...10620.nfi.html -

      Flashing Tool

      sunray-flashup.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

      Images for DM800SE found:
      Forum Gateway - Sat Universe

      How To:

      1. Open Sunray Flasher and connect the Mini USB Cable. Power on the box. Flash the Second Stage Bootloaderfile.
      2. Turn off Dreambox and hold the front Standby button and power on. Open Internet Explorer and type in the DHCP IP (Firefox 4 browser won't work). Select the image you want to flash and flash it. Reboot. I used Openpli
      3. Repeat Step 1.NOTE..I could not do this step, though has worked fine ever since I took the first 2 steps.
      4. Your done.

notes: If you don't get a DHCP IP, put your router IP to 192.168.0.1. if the Image you flashed gives error either, hardware or tuner try a new image.
if the computer does not detect the Dreambox with the usb cable install these drivers DRIVERS

      Good luck mate.
Not my own work. Copied from web. Thanks to original poster.

        This eventually worked

        Hi,

        Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou.

        Thankyou.

        Thankyou.

        Thankyou!

I had to play a bit with the network option, times to reboot the machine, ip address on the router, etc. but eventually, the core instructions worked perfectly.

        Yours kindly,

        RR
