    DVI cables not working?

Just recently got myself a DM800 and my TV is on the wall with an AV shelf that is 5meters away. So the supplied 1.5m DVI to HDMI cable isnt long enough.

I've tried 3 different cables from eBay and none seem to work. They have all been DVI-Dual link and i also tried a DVI to HDMI adapter then used a standard 5m HDMI cable and that didnt work either.

This is the one i got yesterday and it doesnt work.

    My TV is a Samsung 51" 3Dtv

Hi mate Have you selected DVI in the av settings in the setup, I have used cables from ebay without any issues.

Yea mate, I've been using the 1.5m cable supplied and that is DVI so it should work straight away :<

The DVI connection on the supplied cable and ebay cables are exactly the same, with the same layout of pins and amount.

      Its really strange.

I have had one or two issues with bad connection, mainly on the back of the tv. I have a LG 3D plasma, which I have had for 12months or so, we were having issues with the picture flicking on and off, and sometimes going off all together. I tried everything regarding the 800 pro, it made no difference. So it had to be the cables or tv, so I have quite a lot of cables connected to the back, which obviously adds quite a bit of weight to the board. So I have supported that weight with cable ties and haven't any probs with it for a few months. Just a process of elimination.
          Maybe just a reflash requred.
