Im confused, what image can i use?

Hi currently have dm800hd clone, dream elite blackhole( italian for some reason ? ) sim 2.01 and bl76c( from xx/6/2010 i believe.

what newer images can i install as ive seen bl78 , bl82 and now bl84 images?
i dont obviously want to put the wrong image on but im a bit stuck.

reason for upgrading image is cause my EPG doesnt always work porperly ( rytec ) and i have no download server to download any new ones. Plus new is always better

You can use any image that's intended for SIM 2.01, this is the important thing to check and double check.

The ssl you can also update but for the latest 84b and if coming from a lower version you might need to flash the ssl first before flashing the image.

i download a pre patched image 201 bl84
use IE option to install it on my DM800 and thats it?
or do i then have to flash the bl84 file aswell?

thats where im getting confused
do i need to send the bl84 file over after i have flashed the dm with a patched image?

It has the ssl84a built in.

Just flash by browser and jobs a good un.

Flash ssl84 first mate, then the image.

Try the image 1st if you like, but it will be looking for the ssl84, so you will need to load the ssl84 nfi file.

I'm in same boat image I'm using dreamelite blackhole also in italian, epg comes, goes I'm forever downloading it via rytec, I need to change image also, is there a link on how to go about this, as i've only had boxs a couple of weeks, not got a jar ov to be honest, do I need to download anything on my laptop ?
As I've tried downloading dreamedit to upgrade my bouquets & can't even open it out my downloads. Stuck!

What box do you have?

Also, if its a 800 with sim 2.01 then just flash the img above.

To do this turn box of and have it connected to your router.

Now press and hold the front ver on button and then put power on whilst holding down button still.

Now watch the screen and when it says stop let go and take note of ip.

Enter ip to ie then firmware upgrade and flash the image

that is pretty much step by step mate.

on the front of the box the oled screen when you do what i said above it will tell if you its sim 2.01 or not

Yes you need the box connected to the router, either by wifi or wired.

Your box needs connected to router, this will enable them to talk

You can do it direct but the easiest way is the above.

cant see ip to get to flash image

trying to install this image on DB800HD but when i plug DB out and plub it back in with the power button depressed eventually i see stop but ip does not show i just see DHCTP.any help will be appreciated

how have you got the ethernet lead connected to dm??
