dm800 clone tuner

hello i have A DM800 HD clone i have bought a new tuner for the box but the box is saying tuner A empty nothing i have flashed the box with a number of different images and its still not working i have read alot of different posts but cant get a answer any help from you guys would be a big help thanks

have you tried clearing the box and then
loading a new image with a patched dreamup panel

sorry for the later reply been stuck in work how do i clear the box and what is a patched dreamup panel i am new to dreambox always was on the cable side of things

first upload a image for your box and take it from the folder and
put it on your desktop ready to load next you run and open the
patched dreamup loader panel and connect the dm800 to the computer
with both a null modem cable and the cat5 cable to your router
then you unplug the box and open the dreamup loader you need
your computer ip and the dm800 ip entered on the loader use the last one
you used when flashing it also make sure theres a tick in use network box
on the dreamup, then you click connect on the panel it will say connected
turn the box on , now plug the cable back in and you will see the loader
uploading from your dreambox, once done>ok. it should allow you to click the flash button on the panel and a window will open where you find the image
that you left click on and then click open on the window this will now load
the image on your box once fully loaded>ok exit the dreamup loader and got
to the dm800 and unplug it wait for a min or so and plug back in and the box
will boot up and should be back in working order,

Did you configure the tuner, and load settings or scan sats. I am assuming you have changed from cable to sat.

hello i had a sat tuner in the box and i was watching football one night and it just turn to a black screen checked different channels included free to air all the same black screen i tryed my friends box in my house it was working fine with my NLine and feed in so reading arounding i thought it much be the tuner so bought a new tuner

So when you go into tuner configuration, is there nothing in there?

no nothing it says tuner a empty nothing

Thats very odd mate, your obviously not new to the box, so I am sure you have tried alsorts. The only thing I can think of is remove the tuner, clean up the contacts and reseat it.
Not much help mate but best of luck.

hi i had the same fault with a clone 800 when i put a different image on reflash it with a new image to suit your bootloader and make sure when in the setup wizard to setup your tuner to your sat needs

look in the box menu and see if the tuner is set
menu>setup>ok>system>ok>customise>ok
and scroll down the list to near the end od the list
and make sure the alternative services tuner priority
is set as DVB-S/-C/-T if not use the left/right buttons
on the remote either side of ok to change the setting

take the tuner out and clean the contacts and make sure its pushed in fully when you refit it
