    help tuning dm800 hd

    Hi everyone, well i am now experimenting with my dm800 hd and want to move my dish to find a satellite with various channels for week end use. i have two fixed dishes and one is staying fixed at 28.2E. the other i have is at ground level and hoping to move this to a desired satellite until the time comes to get a motor. i can find the satellite i want but can my box be set up to just change the cables over as i am not sure how to go about this in my settings and i have tried doing various methods. i have got 28.2E saved and set up but there is not an option for other satellites that i can find or even how to do this. hope someone can help. Thanks.....

      just get yourself a lnb swith to change from 1 sat dish to another sat dish
      dm500hd -dm500hd v2-vu+duo- triax 1.1m - inverto lnb - technomate 2300 motor- linksys ddwrt router

          Hi, using a lnb switch is not a problem but setting up is another. lets say for instance that i do not want to be set up on 28.2e which is in my settings on dm800hd and just want the one dish tuning in to a different satellite like hotbird 13e, i can not find the option or know how of doing so in my settings as it is set to 28.2e...knowing how to configure the new settings would solve my issues and be greatly appreciated.thanks

              go to tuner config (menu>set up>service searching> tuner config> Tuner A Alps> where > = OK)
              Change satellite to the one you want to watch i.e. 13E

              You should also download motor / rotor settings (green button, yellow button - settings) and thaqt shoukld save you scanning the satellite.

                  Thanks gji25 and kdol for advise. i have now flahed my box with dreamelite blackhole phoenix and that has fixed my issue with the tuner config as it was not giving me the option to select various satellites. i bought a quad lnb switch which i had up and running fine on toneburst A/B but not leaving it at that i went on to see if i could fine tune through setting up usuals as something i had read and now i have goosed it.my switch is only tuning in on lnb 1 and even when i do not use the switch it is only tuning the first cable that is linked up so i have done factory reset and started all over again which is still the same. any ideas anyone please.

                      First off, usals is only of use if you have a motorised dish.
                      So to get your system back go to tuner set up and set Config mode to simple, Mode to Toneburst A/B with your ports showing the 2 satellites you are pointing at.

                      Failing all else reflash once more and do not set usals.
                      If you have a hard drive attached bacxk up your settings once you have got it sorted.
