dm800 help installing harddrive

hello members you have all been so helpfull with my other questions so decided to post another problem i have.

I'm tring to install a hdd on my dm800 but not having much luck i have newnigma2 image installed
i have entered the device manager and it says its mounted but timeshift isnt working or recording after several restarts

In situations like this I'd remove the timeshift app and do a reinstall as it's likely to now pick the HDD up.

Also in NewNigma there's an option for where timeshift recordings should be saved so have you checked and set that?
