what sim is in my box part 2

hi guys i have just got my hands on a dm 800 clone. i want to find out what sim it has, the supplier seems to think its a 2.01. however i thought to myself let me check to make sure rather than having a no ca error, when i checked and took the sim out it doesn't have anything written on it. it is just plain white in colour, far as i know there are three sim makers out there, sim 2.xx, ferrari sim, and e star sim, anyone have any ideas

when you atrt the box up.....it will say on the oled and the tv screen what sim version is on there. flash with images of the same version.

i was going to try this however this cannot always be confirmed

well if you do this at least you know there is a image that is working on it ....so if you use images of the same sim....it will work.......don't you think?

nah because i had a box with a e star sim and the image on was converted using the e star sim convertor, thus making it look like a sim 2.01 image however it really isnt just been converted

what bootloader you got?

i thik if you got #75 up its 2.01

what does your sim look like exactly................

SIM1 plastic white card
SIM2.00 white cards like mobile phone sim, there are dots in Figure silver security logo, # 72.
SIM2.01 white card, square gold security signs #75
SIM1 yellow card, square silver color security signs, #72

i think the sim in my box is sim 1, would i be able to use sim 2.01. images on this?

i don't think so.....best to buy a new sim i would say mate.

dont think you can put a sim 2.0.1 card in to replace a sim 1 but you can change to a ferrari sim and that will work then you can put the latest images

hi mate cheers for your reply, wow the plot thickens, just found it was made in feb 2009, and i got a no ca error through my naivety, and impatient nature :-(
