DM 800 HD PVR Freezing issues.

Hi!

First, have patience with me I am a newbie.


Recently bought a dm 800 hd PVR. From day one I have had issues with the picture freezes and that it takes time for it to load the channels.

Specs:

DM 800 HD PVR.
Dreambox Second Stage Loader BUILD #70, built 20081211
Sim 2.01 PRZ Italy blackhole dreamelite 1.33 V3 sim 2.01
Enigma version: ramiMAHER-experimental
Image Version: Experimental 2010-06-06
Webinterface version: 1.6.2
TunerA: Alps BSBE2 (DVB-S2)

so its the whole box thats freezing? menus etc? not just channels? flash a new image as it looks like urs is a beta image.. someone with better knowledge will come along and tell u a good image for ur box

No, not the menus just the channels. Or to be honest it is hard to tell if they all freeze at once since it takes very long to load the next channel.

I have read the thing about flashing a new cam etc but I don't have a clue how to. Is there a "flashing manual for dummies" somwhere?

I tried this but it onle says "cant boot to linux" or something similar. Then I downloaded mozilla but it only shows the web control page? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi!

Ok, so I figured out how to install a new image thank's to the splendid guide how to, thank's!

I have installed it, configured the tuner and made a channel search. This far everything works just fine.

But then, when I want to look at a channel all I see is a black screen. It wont load.

Am i missing something, do I have to update other things as well?

The image I downloaded is this: ramiMAHER-v-9-4-1.nfi

are the likes of bbc1 etc working? what are your signal strengths? do Have cccam running? do you have a cfg file? Is your box connected to the internet? Give more information

Hi!

No channels at all are working. My signal strength is very good. Beeing a newbie I don't really understand the cccam thing. I have some cccams in the addon list but I don't know which one to use.

When I connect my computer to the dreambox, should I use an ordinary network cable? I read how to add the cccam.cfg but since I haven't connected the box to the computer I can't tell? I tried to connect through the network, but without any luck. Can I find and install it from the dreambox directly? Yes, the box is connected to Internet.

Everything worked fine before I flashed the box, except for the freezing and loading time that is.

If your dreambox is connected to your router, then any pc or laptop connected to the same network can connect to your dreambox. try the latest cccam version, personally I'm still using cccam 2.14.
Use dreambox control centre to add cfg file, if you get all green lines from pc, dreambox and router you know all is good

you dont need a cam to view ftv channels, these are free to view so your box will pick these up if you are on the correct satelite your box is set up for and your dish is pointed in the correct direction
So get these working before you worry about a cam

I have moved house recently and up and running again. my broadband speed has increased from 2MBG to 3.5MBG.

running same set up pli image Jade 3 signal is at 87% same as previous bootloder 82. i am know experencing long period of freezing on sky pay channels free channels no freezing. is there anything i can do on the setup. could it be the cline provider server being overcrowded.

can anyone help as the freezing is getting the best of me.
