I'm in the same boat - looking to get a receiver to replace my Sky+HD. Was originally almost buying the DM800Hd SE as everyone seemed to recommend, but then the clone seller from china sent info on sunray4, which if nothing else prompted me to delay a rush buy and consider the options that will suit my needs!.

I want a receiver which I can view a channel while recording a different one like my Sky+ box, as I use that all the time. From what I could see the DM800HDSE only has one DVBs2 tuner so cant do that :-(

The sunray4 looked better but the additional 2 tuners (cable and terrestrial) weren't relevant for me. It also had a wifi which is a good feature, just not sure how would use that?

I then stumbled upon the Vu+Duo. This HAS 2 tuners DVBS2 tuners so looks like you CAN play and record different channels simultaneously. They too seem to get good reviews so am thinking that may be better option for me, though not sure on clone availability and as much community support?

What I'm struggling to find is how to distribute viewing from these boxes to other rooms in my house. I only have TV arial connections in other rooms so currently I use magic eyes on sky to be able to watch/control the living room sky box in the bedrooms. Not of the receivers seem to have an RF out feed to enable me to do this? So without major hassle of trying to get cables to additional rooms from satellite dish and buying additional receivers I'm not sure how I can achieve this?

Thats were I'm at at the moment and being a TOTAL newbie - I only really heard about this stuff a few days ago, I may not be understanding the technology correctly and so the above comments may not be right!

          Cheers

Why not use ur phone for the control ? I use dreamote thro my wifi network and can turn over from anywhere in the house. And I use dreambox live to watch any channel on my iPad thro the dreambox

u could try 1 of these
Omni Link + Remote / TV Extender (Magic Eye for non Sky receivers)
              [OMNI-LINK-PLUS]

The omnilink looks like it might do same as my existing sky magiceye. However controling the box from another room isnt the big prolem - and the apps that griff mentions might solve the remote control issue. The problem that i 'think' i cant get round is getting the picture to tvs in other rooms. I have tv ariel sockets cabled in other rooms and so with skybox i am able to use the rf out connection to get picture to other rooms via ariel cables. Unless ive missed something in the specs i dont think there is rf out on these boxes so i think ive hit a dead end in getting the channel viewed in another room on another tv (not laptop/ipad). Would love to hear im wrong or theres another way to do it!

you just need a rf modulator it plugs into a scart socket on your sat box and lets you plug tv ariel connections into it they are about 15-20 pounds
