how do i flash a dm 800se help help

hi i just got a 800se tday from china and would like to know the best way to flash the image and what image should i use any help would be apreciated cheers

Why not use the image on there as is till you get used to the image and how to set things up. That's what I did, only after doing some reading did I start flashing. I've tried most images but have now settled on OpenPLi.

the easiest way to flash is the web browser. all you do is hold the power button at the fron down and the power the box up....................it will say STOP and an ip address will appear on the screen on the box.
type that ip address into your browser. it will give you the firmware upgrade page.....click on upgrade firmware and choos the image to flash..

all done.

i have uploaded a few images in the ownloads section...all work and no probs..........latest is the dreamelite 3.0 only came out a couple of days ago.

Agreed.

Openpli....plain, dull, boring...but totally stable.

Does for me every time.

Tried several but always return to Openpli.

when you first turned it on what did you see
on the tv did it give a image name like pli / merlin/
edg nemesis etc and has the box got the satellites
and channels set up for you, also to flash the box
you do it with your browser [ie] firefox with the ethernet cable
connected to your router and you flash the correct image for your
model in the same way as you flash the dm800hd. i'm sure if you look in the posts in red at the top of the section you will find a tutorial,
