Help - Want HD800SE Clone - few questions

Hi, firstly apologies as I'm new to dreambox stuff and some of my questions may have already been answered - though I've read many posts trying to find out myself, but the info seems either out of date or cant find so thought it just quicker to ask again!

Anyway I'm looking to buy a dreambox HD800 SE, don't mind either from China or UK, just as long as as they are respected/trusted dealer. Can anyone recommend a few dealers (giving their link) as some of the ones I've read about dont appear to operate any more
1. Whats a decent price to pay for clone box - China/UK
2. Do they normally not have HDD installed - if not anywhere sells complete with HDD or is installing the drive into box simple.
3. Is there any way on these boxes (or maybe a different model) to link up to more than one tv - in a simialar way that my sky box (which I'm hoping to relace with dreambox) I use 'magic eye so I can watch/control the skybox on antoher tv in another room using the RF ariel feed. Linking the box via long hdmi/splttier isn't an option as the other rooms are too far away.

Any advice much appreciated...

I paid ?155 delivered from China...came in 4 days.

Install HDD into box is childs play. Drive simply slides into connector and you are done !

I am using the dreamdroid app on my HTC phone or you can use virtual remote on any browser. I believe there is an app for iPhone as well. You could always use rf modulator on the scart connector.

Customs is a lottery, when I got my 800hd last year no customs, got an 800hd 2 weeks ago for a friend and got slapped for excise duty

Hello im also inthe same boat atm just trying to read and learn as much as i can first but have kind of made my mind to either get an 800hd pro or se the question is where to get from that is trusted but also at a decent price , many have said china but just can find any links to a seller if someone can direct me towards one that would be great

I'm also new to the scene. I bought 2x DM 800 HD's about 2 weeks ago, (from china, no customs tax, works great!). But today I sold one of the DM 800 HD's and decided to order a SE from china.

Go for the SE. The price difference is around ?30-?40.
But I see many pros for only ?40 extra for the SE.
- extra 100mhz (33% increase) in processor power
- Ability to switch the fan off in standby (you cant do this easily with a 800 HD)
- Most of the newest images are for the SE. So more 'community' support.
- Colour OLED - (I dont really care for this, but nice touch).

Luckily, I bought my DM 800 HD from china for around ?100 landed, and sold it for ?120, so at least I didn't take a loss this time.

For the sakes of ?40, I did go with the SE, I hate the fact the fan stays on ALL THE TIME on the DM 800 HD. You can fix it, but its no easy job.

This is true, some clone models do switch the fan off on standby. So make sure to research before you buy.

I got my 800hd last April and the fan in that switches off when the fan is in standby.

Got to agree the 800se is a much better box, doesn't really do much more than the 800hd but it's just snappier and more responsive.

well i did go for the se in the end and so did a friend of mine and hopefully should get it soon and i think i may have caught them just before the chinese holidays who knows,i have recived a tracking number so will have to just wait and see

also i have read somewhere on here that many are commenting on the new se clones with rather a strange issue that beingof a very unusal and rather large heatsing installed instead of a normal sized one with a fan has anyone heard of this? it may have its benifits but it causes and issue when trying to install a hdd in the designated tray ,just hoping its not with this issue even though its a pretty easy fix but dont fancy opening up the unit and messing with it too much as it is a clone so cant expect it to be of very high quality
