Hi,

I have just taken ownership of a dreambox 800HD and I've cancelled Sky.

I've got two wires from the dish sitting there and a router with an ethernet cable sticking out.

I have been trying to make sense of flashing, cccams? etc.

Can somebody please explain how the hell I get the stb to pick up UK Sky channels!? Sorry to be so blunt but this whole thing is confusing me now!

You have to have a supplier to get the encrypted channels. You can scan 28.2E and pick up all the channels but in order to view premium ones you need to configure CCCam.

This means you have to have someone who will supply. Unfortunately we dont allow talk about this. Talk about installing cccam is allowed.

you'll pick up sky channels by plugging in the sat lead and scanning, now, to get the sly channels to clear requires either a sly card or for you to google cardshare
