HELP WHY I CANT CONNECT TO ROUTER

Hi hope i am allowed to ask this question in dcc it show my pc then my dreambox and then router got green line showing connect to pc to dm box ,,, but red from dm box to router done all searches ip address etc installed them in the corect places click reconnect and still the same ,,, all tv channels working ok
is there a possibility the connection is that i got modem to router ,, modem is old and not wireless or has that got nothing to do with problem ,, would appreciate any help please thanks mial

If its hard wired its fine. Go into network settings on dreambox and check ip address. Make sure password is correct in DCC.

Username: root
Password: password

If you got the box from someone already set up maybe the password is locked.

Tick dhcp in network settings and reboot dreambox.

lan adapter show info
local network .. ..
dhcp .. ..
ip address .. ,,
nameserver .. .. but remote wont let me select any thing ie move up and down to select says on bottom of screen press green to start test as you can tell im a newbie to sat im afraid to touch anything in case i mess it up just come over from cable thanks mial
