dm800 is there an image

I wonder is someone can help. is there an image which i can flash ti my clone box which will play dts sound.

I have some 3d movies which have play fine through the hdd bur no sound.....


any one any ideas???

i have a mate with a 3D tv and he watches 3D
with merlin3 image on his dm800se and he has never
said anything about having problems

dunno if this will help, but I had a similar problem with sound, and playing stuff off a USB or HDD.

I remuxed the video to force the soundtrack I wanted to play, and then played that video. Remuxing was very quick, around 1 minute to output a new file, Then play that new file and it should work.

Basically, You want to force playback of a particular Audio channel within the MKV.

Use the above link and get mkvmerge GUI, Open your MKV, select your soundtrack at the bottom, move it up. Also select it as default & force it.

Then hit `start muxing` and output it to another file (file-remuxed.mkv).

I think...
On the DM 800 you can only play a very limited amount of file types (and audio types as I found out recently). The DM 800 SE can play a wide array of file types and I think it can also deal with various audio types as well.

I have a SE coming soon, so I will test it out then. But I know for sure that the SE supports many more formats for video (and I suspect audio as well).

So to play certain audio on the DM 800 HD, I think you have to remux it (as in my earlier post), force the playback of a particular channel (you can do this with the audio button on the remote, but this never worked on my DM 800, maybe the image?). Then save out that MKV and play that. The process is preety quick, and very easy.

Anyone got any hard facts on this?

You can stream most formats to the 800 from your lappy\pc and it wil play them. If your playing them from the hard drive of the 800 it is limited.

- Can I play them directly off the HDD without remuxing or converting of any sort?
