    Is my LNB broken?

    I have a DM800 and a motorised dish.

Suddenly I stopped receiving a picture on the TV.

The SNR on any channel is 0%, the BER is 0%, AGC can go up to 60%. This is on all satellites.

When I have my fixed 28.2 dish connected to the DM800 it works fine.

I can move the dish when I try to zap to a channel on 19.2, 13.0 etc, but the SNR and BER all stay at 0%. I've reseated all the connections. Does the lack of SNR and BER point to the LNB being at fault?

    TIA

Hi. strangely i am having the same problem and it happened on 28th as well. I cannot scan any channel on astra 28.2. And my SNR, AGC and BER reading are the same as in above post. I have tried older images, etc but to no avail. I am running enigma 2 release 27-1-2012 at the moment with ccam 2.3.0. Kindly guide!!!!!!

Does CCcam 2.3 interfere with the reception?

Cccam 2.30 It nothing to do with this.

          1. Either Your dish has moved and isnt aligned to the sat anymore (Im guessing thats the problem)
          2. Cable connectin dish to your receiver is faulty
          3. LNB has gone.

          Id check your alignment.

with lnb problems you usualy looses either the
vertical or horizontal tp's not often a lnb just goes dead
and if your getting nothing i would first check the dish
and the f-connectors to be certain your finding the satellites
and the cable is in good order

              Got it fixed at last.

I checked all the cables and f connectors - they looked fine.
Tried to realign the dish - still no signal.
Changed the LNB - still no signal.
I borrowed a friend's Horizon HDSM USB Plus Satellite finder - still struggled to find anything.
Tried an LNB test - FAIL!!!

The cable between my LNB and motor was faulty.

I got a new cable, realigned my dish using the fancy meter so it was 100% accurate.

              All working fine (for now)....
