Struggling to get new Openpli image working

Hi lads,

Another question.

Why can I not load the new Openpli image for dm800se ?

The one with the mountains as the opening screen.

I have the earlier one working and downloads no problem.

The new one says "old or invalid image"

I am sim210

dl the ssl84 and flash that 1st then flash the image.

You flash the ssl the same way, **STOP** then ip to IE then it takes 2 sec.

Now turn box off and out back in **STOP** mode and flash the pli image.

try the BH 1.6.6 really good image

Thanks for reply. You are always there or thereabouts..

Where do I get ssl84 ?

I liked Openpli simply because my leaning is toward sharpness of image.

I tried a few but found them lacking in pic resolution, sharpness, clarity etc.

What about the one you recommended?

I am on mobile or I would post it, but I think its in the dm800 section.

Dreamoem has it and has the 1.6.6 which has the SSL84 inc in image.

Picture quality is superb also, its a vu solo image and modified for the dm800

Hi ,

Would not load. Got to about 95% on the OLED and stopped.
Tried 3 times.

However I could access FTA but could not enter line.

Tried Digitalworldz Openpli based image. Crisp !

Wouldn't advise this if the OP has a clone as it'll semi brick the box?

Yup, Don't get it from the OpenPLI website, I did this and it killed my box, I had to reflash the bootloader and image with the mini-usb in dreamup.

Wont make the same mistake twice, find a OpenPLI which is clone safe, else you may risk bricking your box. (Hopefully not permanently, but you will have problems with it booting)
