    TS Backup

    Hi,

    I suppose this obviously backs something up !!!!!!

    What does it actually backup or what would I backup with it and for what reason ?

    Just like the backup utility in TSPanel, it does a full backup of the image on the box.

      When and why would I use this ?.......for a re-flash or what ?

        If you corrupt the image on your box then you could re-flash the backup.

          I think the idea is to take a backup of your image as it and after you've done all your tinkering around, so clines, skin etc... You can then restore the image at any time to get back the image state as it was at the time of backup.

              I personally don't bother as it takes all of an extra 5 minutes to blast the rest of my config to the box.

              EDIT: Oh and the backup might not work with an OpenPLi based image as OpenPLi doesn't keep /boot mounted which the backup attempts to backup.

                Is there anyway to backup a openpli based image ?
