Hi, i have a DM800Pro with M tuner, it works fine then start get tuner failed on HD channel, while front led is flickering , but flick to sd channel and all is well again, then hd channel works, can work for hours no problem , comes up randomly ? is it a faulty tuner ? weird that the front led light flickers when it happens

    Thanks

Power supply? Have you swapped out the PSU?

Hi, yes i have tried that, im thinking its the Tuner at fault, as could work fine for 1-8hrs then happen , tuner failed on only HD channels,

I got another Tuner now so will run that see if still happens, as soon i put in new tuner hd channel working, then i put in old tuner which is still warm still hd not working, but if i let tuner cool down say try again after few hours starts working till get fault again within few hours.

must be tuner, only way is let new tuner run for few days,

strange that front led starts flickering like lack of power ?

      Thanks

Have you had a quick look at the tuner to see if there are any burn components, there probably won't be given that it works when cold, other thing you could do is let the fault develop, then whip the tuner out and then check what is the hottest component(s), then check the soldering for that component(s) and possibly just reflow the solder.

Sounds like a heat issue, tuners can get really hot if not cooled down. Put a laptop cooler on or under the box sucking out the hot air. this should solve the problem for ye.
          Cheers,
