Using 800se with home cinema

Hi all,

When using My 800se for watching films I have set downmix modes as suggested in other posts. This does get me surround sound but at the expense of volume being reduced by half and most treble detail being lost.

Connected using HDMI and optical.

Anyone suggest a cure?

Cannot give an answer and would also like one to this problem,but I have found the volume on all dreamboxes original and clone to be crap and it can actually frighten the sh1t out of you when you change outputs on tv from say hdmi to scart and the volume doubles.Cheers

This is the way my surround sound is set up on my tv -dreambox ,ps3.xbox all hdmi leads to tv then - 3.5mm stereo jack to 2 RCA Phono Sockets + twin phono female to male audio cable- plug the stereo jack into headphone socket on tv -attach to twin phono leads and plug twin phono male ends into surround sound and all my sound comes through my surround sound while all my pics are through hdmi.
