put wrong image on dm800 hd pvr sim210

does the box boot? did u put a dm800 image on it or dm800se?

you will now need to restore your box and you will need a null modem cable
a patched dreamup panel from the forum and the correct image for your model. next turn the Dreambox off,by removing the power connector.
Standby is not enough!
[1] Press and hold the power button. Replug the power connector into the Dreambox.
on the oled screen you will see "*** STOP ***". Now you can release the button. The bootloader has entered the "waiting" mode.
Above the "*** STOP ***" text, there should appear with the box IP-address
four decimal values with a dot in between. like his example ie: 192.168.*.*
If there appears the string "dhcp" instead, the box still is searching for a DHCP server. Wait a bit. If it doesn't change, something doesn't
work with the DHCP server. Check the network cable is plugged in etc.
Now, open a browser on your PC. most use firefox.
[1] enter in the address line "http://ip/"
this ip address is the ip on the dreambox ldc screen.and click go
you will now see what looks like a motherboard of your receiver
[2] on the bottom of the page, there's a link called "firmware upgrade". Click it.then On the next page, you can select the flash image you want to flash.
be sure that it has the ".nfi" extension. You can't flash other images (like .img)! dont even try they dont work and could damage your receiver, also make sure you only flash a image for your model ie: genuine or clone model images Click on "FLASH!" and wait. It might take some time to upload and flash the image.when the image you have flashed has reached 100% you will see a re-boot button click it and when the box has re-booted exit the browser on your computer and go to the receiver and Switch the box off and on again. The new image should be flashed and working.

Hi mate, box boots up fine and i have tried all of the above with patched sim210 images and bootloaders but no joy.i can get sim201 images on my box this way no problem but have read that they will be no good for my sim210 and unstable?

Hi, i have got sim201 images only installing instead of 210 and although the 201 images boot up, i am getting faults with it i.e no tuner config,tuner empty so can not choose satellite etc even after installing bouquets and rebooting. Maybe its me being dumb but is it safe to run 2.01 images on a 2.10 sim? or is there a way to put my box back to sim 2.10 to install the appropriate images? i just dont know and realy could do with the help.thanks....DM800HD PVR SIM 210

ok is it a dm800 pro? the no tuner config have you been to the system settings menu and configured the tuner?

im 99% sure it wouldnt boot up if it was incompatible u would get the ca error so try config the tuner first buddy

Hi again, well went with another dream elite image on sim2.01 which is the fourth different image. set up the system as per usual and watchin t.v for a while ok. started glitchin again and went off. been in tuner config and saying: tuner A

empty)nothing. tried reeboting and factory reset but still the same. i have a dm800hd pro and on the sim it says 210. Is it not the fact that i am running a 201 image on it or is there something else. i have tried flashing patced 210 images but saying image for wrong architexture.This has got me going round the bend and more so the missus with me. should i not be using sim210 image and if so, how do i load the settings up for it or is it something wrong with my tuner. help and a miracle combined might see me through this....thanks

Sim 2.10 will run both 2.10 an 2.01 images, just make sure you don't flash an 800 SE image .btw you need to configure the tuner for your dish type

to config tuner go menu. setup. service searching . tuner config . choose your tuner, then enter the values as per this pic below (for skyuk with a fixed dish )

the image you want must be for dm800 with sim2 , some latest images here DreamOEM - DM800HD all compatable with sim2 type

put a sim 210 image on your box mate. it's always best to put the relevant image for your sim.

also if you have null modem cable............use the dreamup method to flash your new image. the web browser method sometimes dosen't get rid of the problems.

, dont you just love dk , reason i suggested to check tuner config is op sent me message saying how to do it , so presumed he hasnt yet done it , therefore the image thats on it may well be installed properly , just the op may have overlooked tuner config , nevertheless , good to see support coming from all angles

Hi guys, thanks for all the help and good to know there is someone here to give valuble advice. well took on board all advise and changed the image again however still on sim 201 ssl84 image as i couldmt install 210 images no matter how many i went through flashing by cable or browser. looked under the hood and cleaned board,fan and tuner from dust then added an external fan which seems to have done the trick but which one i am not sure. on top of that my horizon hd usd digital meter turned up today and i installed a tm2600 sat motor in about an hour,added bouquets and and thus far still scanning endless channels so all your help and a bit of lady luck has pulled me through and also saved me from the dog house with the missus.Thanks to you all and much appreciated.

An uptodate multi sat list willsave you scanning mate, look for sgtflipflops settings, all pre catagorised , use dreamboxedit to upload an your all sorted
