    no ca problem for newbe

    hi everyone,my dreambox 800hd just got error message when i downloaded some new add ons ,i think it has the new enigma 2 image , bought it off a trader with the cs now i have read that it will have to be reflashed with dreamup will this lose my cs info as i dont know that much about these done cable things in past flashing etc so not a complete newbe but all the help possible will be gratefull thanks everyone

      hi kevin ..... yes mate ... you'll need to reflash using a null modem cable to sort the no ca error . make sure you use an image suitable for your box or you'll get the no ca error again. and you will lose all settings including cs info .so you'll need to contact your dealer if he didn't give you a .cfg file .

          make sure the bootloader matches the image sim or you will encounter no ca error message

              got a freind of mine to reflash it was working fine in his when i plugged it back in to my set up the display came on for a min then it went off and the red light flashed 8 times then nothing can anyone help please

                  Is the small LCD where it normally shows the channel or the time displaying any text - sometimes it will show an error message there.

                  Does anything show up on your TV screen, like the image is starting to load?

                      hi all sorry for the delay reflashed it with the image again and everything is fine must have got corrupted some how first time thanks all credits to jj
