    recording on dm800se

    hi to all
    just need an answer to a few questions
    im thinking of getting a dm800se and need to know what i need to do to record
    first do i need to install a 2.5 hard drive
    second do i need to get a twin tuner
    third how many channels can i record at the same time

      if you get the 800se, you will only be able to record the channel you are viewing (tho sometimes you can watch a different channel if the other channel is on the same transponder - very rarely happens)

      if you want to watch 1 channel and record another - you will need a twin tuner receiver....there is now a vu + duo clone out which will allow you to do so.

      the size of the drive is upto you, if you intend on doing a lot of recording...in HD as well something over 250gb will suffice.

          you'll need twin tuner..
          starting at around 180 for the qbox mini, 200ish for vu duo clone.. up to 300 odd for original vu duo or clarke tech
