    error creating partition failed

    hi all,i have a dm800se clone box.im trying to record or pause a programe but,i keep getting a message,error creating partition failed.
    The hdd is a 2.5" sata hitachi 500gb.
    i can't seem to initialise it,any help would be apprechiated

      May be best to take it out and do a full slow format fat32 using a pc

              You would need to put it in a caddy and connect by USB to a laptop or desktop pc.

              First of all are you trying to initialise using the ts panel or through menu, setup, system, hard disk?

              If I use ts panel to initialise it seems to bring up and error but the image one works fine.

              There may be another reason for the error but that is all I can think of. Sorry for the delay in response but I have written this 4 times and my stupid iPad keeps kicking me out of safari losing all I had typed

                  Cheers mate,I've tried both ways,ie.tspanel & image.I will try your idea mate,what is caddy btw?
