    Help to flash

I have a R6 network cable (no DHCP Server), it seems my DM800SE doesnt have a comm/rs232 port am I able to flash/update my DM800 or do I need a different cable? or setting up a DHCP Server is a must?

EDIT: Its ok, I need to get an a to b usb cable, I think

None of them have a comms port mate, you need to attach it to your router then it will be networked with its own IP address, you then flash fw thru a web browser,
Look in the sticky section for "flashing dm800 " , its same method for SE,
If you have sim2, then the fw /image must be sim2 compatable

As in your edit , you can use the mini USB connection, but most peeps use the web interface method I described above

Thanks for the reply, It just seems there are several sim2 with different numbers on the end.

Is there one that someone would care to recommend

is the numbering on the end of the sim2 files a version number and does the the higher number mean a later version?

It decides which bootloader you use unless the image comes with it -

ssl82 both enigma2 and drivers must be patched
ssl84 allows you to use original drivers

              in the end I used - BACKUP DM800se SIM210 SSL84b - Patched by riyaad

As suggested at the end of this thread:

now I just need to find out, which plugins are best to use with this image
