Dm800hd Pro (clone) Tuner A (empty)

Hi

I have been using my DM800Hd pro clone without any problems then suddenly the picture froze and message of Tuner failed. Since then I have had not Tuner , I have read various threads but cannot find an answer to the problem. I have have tried re flashing image with various inc the correct bootloaders etc but no luck. The tuner is M and I have had the box for about 2 months. I have checked to see if the tuner has become unseated but all appears to be Ok. The internal fan is working Ok. Is it a case of purchasing another tuner and if so when fitted do I need to reflash the image (gemini currently) again.

Any advice would be appreciated.

hello i had the same problems with the tuner just bought a new one off flebay re-flash image happy days up and running

if ireflash hasn't worked and t's only been 2 montsh....contact your seller.

If you buy a new tuner you wont need to do a reflash but it is probably better to.

Can you get in to choose a tuner under the sat settings?

Thank you for responses , the box was brought from china so no chance of sending back. cannot choose a tuner under settings I;m afraid tried so may many images with the correct BL made no difference.

Not sure what else to do.

I was using an Open pli image which had ccam230 included when the problems started (last sat) .

Can anyone suggest an image with perhaps a lower BL that may be more stable to use again with a ccam incuded etc.

I really do appreciate the response I have had so far.

Hi! I have the same problem with my dm800se! The box was working fine for ca. 2 weeks, but after my problems have started. One reboot and i've had the Tuner A empty message, one more reboot tuner was fine...and so on. Now the box detects the tuner once in 100 restarts... My new tuner is on its way to me

Hope you have better luck then me fitted a new M tuner but it has made no difference I have lost count on the number of images I have trrie with the correct BL.


It clearly is a fault with these clone boxes

I really hope so Saintbri! How do you flash your images btw? Via Browser or do you use DreamUp? Cause i've noticed that my tuner was detected when i flashed the image via DreamUp at the first time. But now is the tuner completely dead, it doesn't make any difference which way i flash.

I've already replaced my power supply unit for a quality one, cause i've read on a different forum that the dodgy PSU caused the empty tuner problem. Maybe you could give it a try as well!

I have tried 3 PSU for this box also flashed by D up and via i.e.

It has made no difference still have the same problem.

Hello I bought estar dm800 receiver owners,
I have also these receiver and i must tell to administrators that we all have problems with tuners when we install images with new kernels
Only old Kernel 2.6.18-7.3 working good on these estar dm800 model
all new Kernel 2.6.18-7.4 was with signal problems and also new 3.2 enigma 2 (also with remote problem, remote not work on new enigma 3.2.2)
can anyone have the solutions to solve

this worked for me:
-go to the field where it says "No Tuner"
- press right arrow on remote
- keep pressing it and if you are lucky you should then see a sat setup page.
- select a sat and LNB and save it.

If you got thru those steps,, it should then show your tuner being recognised.

Those steps worked for me. Hope they help someone else

I bought a new tuner from mixeshop.com. I've replaced my old tuner, which wasnt recognized by the box(Tuner empty message). After the first reboot i was very happy, because the new tuner works perfect.

sorry to bring up and old(ish) thread..
I have the same no tuner problem.tuner is fine(tested on another box)
running patched(estar) pli latest.
image is great except for no tuner problem..
eardatek site is s**t.no drivers no info as to which drivers it might use
tuner has no markings for me to make any pertinent guesses..

I have dug this up as there are no other sensible ideas on the interweb and I have searched (hard) for days...

could it be something to do with the drivers for the tuner being too 'new'.if so how do I go about getting the relevant files loaded?
