DM800 hd bootloader 82 pheonix 1.33 - 2tb hard drive setup help please

Hi, I have a 2tb seagate external 3.5" hard drive which i would like to use primarely with the dreambox but i would also like to save some movies which i have downloaded so that i can either watch them through the dreambox or another device eg laptop or ps3. i also have some window based files/document which i would like to store on the hdd.

is there anyway i could partition the drive and use 1 hard drive for all these purposes? if so how would i go about doing this?

Sounds perfectly do-able, hook it up to box, mount it and then map the drive to windows , Google will help ya with mapping, Google "how to map a drive to vista " or whatever os you use, then your drive is just a click away from your PC

id use a different image as pheonix 1.33 aint best with playing , and recording , i find it to glitch alot, i since using openpli 2.1 and no glitches now

please help i also got a problem with recording, when i select record button, a message comes up quoting, 'no hdd found or hdd not initialized'

also i get an error when i try to initialize the hard disk

Have you had a look in var/etc/fstab and made sure any HDD settings have no preceeding # ?

Phoenix 1.33, you may find the odd # in there

Just a thought...
