DM Box Edit and DM Control Centre

Hi - just got a dm800hd clone all set up fine. I have Dreambox edit which I am using to change programme lists etc.

My question is do I need Dreambox Control centre as well - does this do things I can't do with Editor?

I wanted to find out how to add a cline onto my box - do I need control centre to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

I currenlty have a cline in for one month but diappointed in the channels I am getting - no NOVA, Tring, Primafilm etc.

Control centre is an important program for your dreambox ,which you use to send files to the dreambox and editing those lines that you speak of ( which we do not talk about on this forum) , i certainly couldnt do without it, editor will deal with your channel lists and bouquets but dcc will deal with the whole workings of your dreambox .

You can use Filezilla to upload your cline as well as DCC

whilst i agree with Shankills comments, i must say i got my dm800 just over a year ago, lots of reading and downloading, including DCC but i have never used it!
as Sam says you can ftp your line to your box. You can also simply edit the config file from the command line on a telnet connection using vi editor.
i've flashed, messed with and repaired quite a few boxes now and my toolkit consists of dreamboxEdit, ftp (filezilla), telnet and the lifesaver, dreamup. So far that's all i have needed (besides soldering iron, solder, transistors, capacitors IR receivers and a magnifying glass!!).
As for your channels, there are other forums out there where you will get lots of help. Google

Thanks guys used DCC and can see the CCCAM file. Can I ask whether it is possible to add more than one cline or not?
