Remote control not responding, works when i use the web browser remote. help pleaseTY

Hi, im having trouble with my dm800, the remote has stopped working and wont respond at all, however the standby button works but only if i press down on it hard. (no other button works- from time to time remote starts working but not for long)

also note the remote control through me web browser works perfectly and responds instantly.

i read a post on another forum that the problem may lie with the infra-red sensor not working properly and may need replacing.

can anyone shed some light as to what may be causing this problem and how to rectify the problem. Thank you kaisar.

you can apparently check ir sensor on remote using mobile phone, never tried it myself but seen threads on it. If its your problem, easily rectified, change ir sensor or buy new remote

Hi mate. put the phone in camera mode, press the remote and focus the camera at the sensor, if it is working you will see the red beam on the phone screen. Check it with a known working remote 1st, so you see that it works.

        Good luck
