DM800HD - Pink screen and no sound

Hi - I have a DM800 HD Clone, over the past few days whilst watching a channle, the screen goes pink and I lose sound.

I turn box off for ten mins and then it is fine but goes again later

Is this a problem with the HDMI lead or something else?

The box is three weeks old

sounds like its getting hot ,, is it in a tight space ?

Hi - no, it's on a shelf with plenty of ventilation so wouldn't have thought so - nothing electrical close by it either really

If it is not an SE and you have an internal hard disk the it needs force cooling, they are too small and overheat no matter how much room you give them. Some are better than others but basically they are too small and a shite design internally.

does it play up when watching hd channels ?

Not sure if it is an SE but doesn't have a hard drive installed. It has been going pink on HD and non HD channels - any ideas......a fan perhaps?

Try another Dvi lead it may be a faulty lead. Maybe even flash another image.

most of us use these eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace over heating is common m8 , tuner gets hot on hd channels

Take the lid off and see if it still does it or runs longer before it does it.

I wouldn't try flashing until you are out of other options because htey use cheap Flash chips in these thigns so flash it now and it's one less Flash you get when you need it.

I've flashed my box dozens of times

got a faulty dm800hd off eBay today 65 notes spares or repair , re flashed and working a treat , never give up with a box , this one had a faulty fan that's all

Didn't know the boxes were limited to the amount of flashes it can take. Any idea of how many Mj ???

if they are limited to a certain number of flashes....all i can say is .....there's plenty as i have flashed away for a while and still haven't reached the end....
