    sunray800hd sr has sim 2 on front wont boot

    hi, i am new to dream box, got this box couple of weeks ago,have managed to set it up as motorized system & downloaded sat & ch,s put dcc on labtop& conected to sunray connected ok, went to add c line 2 box but no cccam.cfg in it. down loaded image & dreamup to lab top. when i turned box on today from swicth on back got sim2 box id 192.168 etc & xxxstepxxx which stays on , no sigal on tv & handset not doing anything light flashes when you use button , can only turn box off at back. it was working ok yesterday and i have not downloaded anythink to box expect sats, does not connect to dcc now. can anybody help.

    I am thinking that it say's stop and not step between the x's, which indicates the box is in flash mode. I had this issue with my 800se last week, after I made a backup of the image. If it wont boot mate you will have to reflash it. Maybe try a different image, just make sure it is the correct one for your sim type.

      yes it says stop

      but how do i flash as no serial port 4 null modem, have laptop with vista on, onthe box i mean serial port, thanks

        Type in the dreambox's ip into your browser on your laptop and it should bring up your dreambox upgrade/flashing screen,then upgrade with suitable image previously downloaded on to your laptop.
