DM800HD PVR Stuck booting after Sim2 Skin install

    Hi All

    I have a DM800HD PVR OpenPli Sim2
Using the remote control Ive navigated to the SIM2 addons and installed a Skin "FULL-HD" - on reboot - its now stuck on Booting... gets about 3/4 of the way and just stays there. Visually all I can see is the OPENPLi startup screen on the TV. No error messages.

Ive read previous posts suggesting to FTP on and delete the folder contained in: /usr/share/enigma2 which Ive done, rebooted and has made no difference.

Also, I had performed a backup to USB (via the remote control GUI) prior downloading the SKIN and making any changes.
I have FTP's to the USB and copied over the backup file 'enigma2' to the /usr/share/enigma2 which I thought would have reverted every thing back to my 'default' setup - but its still stuck booting?

Can anyone help please . Thanks in advance.

try using the dcc go tools then packages and find in the pluggin folders then
the e2 skin and highlight it then using bottom button on the left of the list panel click it to remove the skin, exit the dcc and turn the box off and on again your box then should boot fully

Wasnt aware of DCC package and didnt get a chance to try but will remember for the future - thank you for the heads up.

I'd given up hope and a friend has just started re-flashing just as I saw your post.

Do add-ons (skins etc) always make the Dreambox so vunerable?

PS. Guess this thread can be closed - Cheers
