DM800HD freezing up

Hi

it seems like one thing after another with my dm800hd clone - I changed the HDMI lead as screen was going pink and losing sound - this seems to have fixed this issue.

now the box is freezing and I am having to unplug at the wall as can't turn box off using standby button.

I have only had box a month - should this be expected - box goes off after a few hours or even sooner

reflash another image mate and see if still happens

for the switch off at wall issue:
telnet to the box
issue command
killall -9 enigma2

this will reload the box a lot quicker (assuming remote is unresponsive - else long press power, then select restart gui)

try and go easy on the plugins you install , also look at the size of the image you use , the smaller the size the more free memory (pli images are nice an lite)

if your in the uk , dreamboxuk do a nice image with channel settings downloadable for your specific region , obviously ensure you flash the correct image for your sim type, provided its a clone that is

Bro for the DREAM800HD CLONE the best image is the OPENPLI with enigma2 it works faster than the original with it if you need help post i might help you

Found out the screen was green because of overheating so got a fan unit and changed image to OPENPLI - seems to be working fine now
