    Sim2 question

    Hi,

    Having just got my DM800hd SE Clone, which has sim2 inside it, do i need to upgrade any thing inside the box, apart from firmware.

    Am I write that Sim2 has different fireware, do i need to upgrade it if how.

      you don't need to do any updating mate.

      you would only try different images if you didn't like the looks of the one currently on the box.

      read up on how to do it properly so you don't have problems.

          sim2 team are always working on newer images with newer latest drivers , latest drivers usually bring better performance however updating every week is just not practical and you wouldnt notice a marked improvement in performance.
          At present the latest sim2 images are 84b, might go 84c then 85,86 etc , so in a few months when the images are up to 86 ish then maybe you would want to upgrade , but in saying that if your happy with the current setup then stick with it, you could always backup your current image with settings and configs within, see tspanel for a plugin called "tsflash backup" http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-image-205464/
          Upgrading is just a case of flashing the unit, via same method as regular dm800 http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...browser-55296/
