I misread and thought you meant the display on the front of box, now realise you meant the TV output via DVI/SCART. Sounds like a shagged box.

My heart bleeds for you my friend then I started off by just hooking up the odd one or two and introducing them to the game.. but then they have told there friends etc and I seem to be the muppet who gets them there boxes. Im not going to bother if I get another dodgy box though as this one is gonna get me stick now from the guy who has paid for it.. haha

The last 2 boxes I ordered when I had all the probs were for a relative and my friends daughter. You are right, when you go back and say there's been a problem the friend/relative doesn't care as they just want a working box. For me I won't be ordering for anybody else ever again.

Exactly, a friend of a daughters cats mum etc.. I wont be bothering in the future either. Your trying to do someone a favour and you end up a) in bother with them, and b) maybe out of pocket yourself for no fault of your own at all! (apart from agreeing to hook people up.. haha)

Best way to do it is give them the details of where to purchase the box and let them order for themsleves. Box goes titz up then its not your problem and saves you any hassle.

PMSL m8, ive had ex work collegues phoning me up because 2 of the 400 channels they get for free(ive installed over 40 maxx1000/protek 9600ip boxs for m8,s of m8,s ect ect) they seem to think that theres some type of free support just because you did them a favour and charged them ?20 m8,s rates. ive told them all now its not worth the hassle and i cant get them but ill install the stuff if they get the box ect, regards mdt

My old man can hardly operate his TV, let alone order something from the internet via paypal. Haha

That's exactly what I've started doing and surprisingly of the 2 people since that I've given details to neither ended up ordering the box as and in their words "it's all far too complicated".

Like others have said i dont think ive 30 friends and family combined and out of that lot only 4 or 5 have a box.

I must have a small family and not many friends or maybe im not a trader
