    No channels found

Hi, I have a 2 yr old DM800HD clone and decided to upgrade the image to a more recent one - previously using BH Phoenix V3.

The more popular ones being Deambox UK v 2.1.2 and Ramimaher's BH options.

I have flashed BL84B then the new (above) images then reflashed BL84B.
The box starts up OK but I cannot get any channels.
When in Sat Find it sees the satellite OK with a SNR 11.0 and 68% AGC of 100 and no BER's. When flipping through the transponders it shows the above readings and that the lock is active.
I noticed if I press OK the lock becomes blank, pressing OK and it is locked (ticked) once more.

I edited my satellites.xml file to only have one transponder (on 28.2) i.e. 10818, Vertical, 22000, autoFEC and the SNR, AGC and BER's are still the same. But ... this time it is not shown with the lock ticked.

Doing any scanning for channels results in no channels found (with a full sat.xml or my modified version).

The box and tuner work well with BH Phoenix V3 - yeah yeah I know I could go back to that image but it is an old one (2009 'ish). That would also accept that I would not be able to make any movewith the many good images now available.

I would appreciate any help in solving this.
    Cheers kdol

    Hi

Not familiar with the 800hd but when you reflashed did it not give you the option to configurate the tuner....... tuner A, simple, single and option to choose 28.2 etc.

Yes mate. It allows the tuner to be configged no problem.
Its a 2nd box and has a direct feed from the lnb so it works as a fixed dish - the other box drives the motor.
I even restored the backup from the other box to it and that did not work either!

I am sure someone out there knows what it is that makes the tuner etc operate properly but am losing faith that I can fix it myself.

I can always reflash BH Phoenix V3 and it will work again but that means there will be no possibility of keeeping pace with image developments.

I had this with an OpenPLi image, like you nothing I did would get a picture, satfinder would show signal as being good, I'd also get tune failed if I loaded a bouquet to the box.

The only way I got around this was to power the box off, then power on into STOP mode, flash the bootloader, then power off, then power on back into STOP mode, then flash the image. Then power down and on startup, set the tuner in the wizard and then do a scan, again as part of the wizard.

Without doing the above not matter what I did I always got the tune failed message.
