Dreambox 800 SE HD cannot backup with usb !

Pls help i did ask this question before. Just got my dreambox 800 se hd and i have already set it up to 1 lnb. Before i flash the drive i have read that its best to do a back up. So stupid me at first put a usb in and no joy then i was told do a reboot and then save to usb. So i have unit on standby power off at the back usb in and then re started managed to save something to usb (backup folder) within that two folders but both 0kb pls help

If all you have done is scanned for channels you don't really have anything to backup, I wouldn't worry too much.

Which image do you intend to use? Does it need a bootloader and if so have you also got that ready to flash?
