Hi all
This is of a similar vien , my dm800 has stopped, i have no display on front no red button just ethernet lights at the back when i connect with dreamup it shows a connection on my lan ethernet connection but i cannot access the box. I have tried enforcer and all manner of ways of getting the box ip but I cant. My box did boot up whilst trying all these things but with nothing connected when i tried to boot again it only went thro about half the process to the sim 2.01 display on the front of the box, next boot absolutely nothing, is this box dead should i just give up on it. is it possible to get the ip address of the box bearing in mind i have no display and no access. I am currently using a serial r252 cable and a crossover cable. anyone got any idea,s I could really use them.

you could take the tuner out and then see if you can get
it to boot in to life, the last box i had that only showed the Ethernet lights
on the rear. it was the mainboard that had died. and at about ?99 for a new board it's better to replace the box with a new one

Seen similar issues with a dodgy power supply, try another one with tuner an hdd removed

HI TRY THIS
This can be done in 2 ways. 1) You have to have a working dreambox.
2) DM800_repair, you alter dreamup to be able to use greyed buttons. Now for the first sollution. 1) Connect working dreambox DM600/DM800. 2) Open dreamup, press connect. 3) When dreambox is found by dreamup, insert Null-Modem cable in
the broken dreambox. 4) Press flash button, and chose a firmware. 5) The flash progress will probably hang, its OK. 6) Open dreamup again, connect the broken box, press connect. 7) If all went ok, you can now flash box again, (Use only serial
communication) Now for the second sollution 1) Connect broken dreambox DM600/DM800 2) Open dreamup, press connect. 3) When you see second loader error popup, just press ok. 4) Open http://www.gsmsweden.com/forhike/sat...stage_pack.rar
5) Drag DM800_repair in front of dreamup, and press dream multimedia logo. 6) Now press the greyed Flash button, and chose firmware. 7) The flash progress will probably hang, its OK. 8) Open dreamup again, connect the broken box, press connect. 9) If all went ok, you can now flash box again, (Use only serial
communication)

hi all thanx for the advice offered to me but the box is dead i have consigned it to the man drawer and purchased a brand new all singing all dancing white dm800se
