    Forgotten PIN

    Hey guys...

I have a DM500s running an Enigma 2 image. But I've stupidly forgotten what the security PIN I set and now can't get into any of the advanced menus as in the blue button...

Any ideas how I can reset this?? Or is there some text file which contains the PIN..??

    Ur help would be appreciated..

      Hi

Just re read your post what box have you got, if its 500s then its enigma 1 and not enigma 2. The above soultion is for an enigma 1 box.

          Hi

Follow this and you should be able to retrieve Ive used it a few times with no probs.

          FTP to box

          Go to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma.

Go to a file called config.

Right click and click on view/edit,

          Look for the lines.

          i:/elitedvb/pins/parentallock=00000123

          i:/elitedvb/pins/setuplock=00000123

          These are hex numbers.

Open your Windows calculator in Scientific mode,

Click on Hex,enter the value minus the zeros in front of them,

Click on Dec and that's your pin number.

          Regards

              Hi

What you like , try the method Ive attached. Follow instructions as per and you should be able to get in.

Bit of a pallawa but will get you in I used it last week and it did the job.

Let me know if it works. Credit to original author.
