flash dm800hd

Can someone give me some advice on how to flash a dm800hd and what is the best image to use.

Ive actually only ever flashed a dm500s box which was simple so Im not really experienced.

Are these boxes any good, my cousin sent it down to me to flash for him as he doesnt have a clue. I would have told him to buy a vu duo or blade 7000 but he bought it without letting me know..

Its a dreambox dm800 hd pvr s. It has a sim 2.10 installed. Just wondering what the best stable image will be for this box.

And will a dm500s power supply be suitable, my cousin who sent this box up to me lost the power supply...

Most like the Dreamelite blackhole phoenix edition its in downloads.
Will pm you a good guide,a child can do it and its really easy.

Hi Sats,the guide i sent was the youtube one from B16mcc,i wasnt sure if i was breaking any rules by posting it openly on the forum thats all and its an easy guide for noobs to follow thats all.

However it is quite definitive, we may plagiarise it later, I will get out my photoshop brush

The image link I got was for the 2.01 sim. I have a 2.10, anyone got the link for the 2.10 latest phoenix image.

Was looking through the download section and seen the phoenix image for the dm800hd se, I do not have the se version but are the images backward compatible, does it make a difference.

Your 2.10 will be fine with 2.01 800 images mate

As Southpaw says image should be fine just dont mix ferrari or estar boxes with sim2.01 images and visa versa.

Got it going, tried to update bootloader, got ca error, then used dreamup and got it reflashed using web browser.

Image is dreamelite blackhole v1.0. Good image but is that the latest version...

i prefer the PLI image myself
