    dm800hdse shutdown at night

    hey lids
just a quick question, who on here turns off the box wen they go to bed. if im honest i used to abuse my dm500c i dnt think it got turned off in 3yrs. im a bit older now and a bit more skint and just wanna take care of my ?145 clone. so what do people do
    1. leave it on - if it ~~~~s up it wasgoin 2 anyway
    2. standby - cautious
    3. press stanby n flik the power switch to off

also more importantly does doing any of the above effect he boxes performance, longevity & memory

I had a dm800hd for about 2 years and turned it off every night by shutdown on remote and never had a problem, i would be more worried about the clone being left on at night and going on fire than i would having to fork out for a new box - a box can be replaced - a family cant.

Have a bit of sense and power it down via remote switch everything off at night....your probably a bit more skint coz of your electric bills from the 500C,a box on standby still sucks your electricity FACT!!
Those clones heat up fairly fast and I for one wouldnt trust anything plugged in overnight....be safe and not sorry.
Only takes two presses of a button to turn off.

They turn off? Didn't know mine had an off feature. What image are you using? haha.

My dm800se has been on for god knows how long, but sense should say put it in standby at night of course.
