dreambox 800 hd password

im trying to login to my box with dreambox edit and control centre.
both say cant connect cuz of incorrect passwrd username.
it was fine the other week and i havnt changed anything to do with password and username.
how can i reset , retreive passwrd or loginto my box?

yes mate ip has changed, ive put the new ip in and it wont let me in

search new ip of box by dcc

Start it up as if you were going to reflash it, ie. power off>hold button on front of box and >power on until it shows 'stopped' and lists the IP. Then just press the button to reboot normally.

Telnet Disconnected
Telnet login incorrect!
i aint changed any thing????

hi m8 i had this and had to reflash it using a null modem cable for some reson it had lost the image

i do have another dreambox but its a 800 hd sunray.
is there a way of copying stuff off that to memory stick then putting it to the box that needs reflashing(dreambox 800 hd pvr). ?

Wont it flash using web browser method?

dont think so mate.
i hold power button in and ip address comes up in the lcd box but nothing on tv, then when i put in ip on computer a red box comes up with failed

In DCC - click telnet - then type passwd - if you get a message to retype password before you enter one just press enter and input the passwd command again - now enter password and confirm.

This should now resolve your bootmanager message.

You will need one of them crappy converters no guarantee it will work,they are usb ones like this one.
Shop around you might get one cheaper.

Try tspanel, there is a password changer in the latest version. Not tried it, but give it a go.
