no CA error on dm800hd now sorted tuner a empty

    hi everyone
ive looked at loads of threads and googled
wonder if im missing something any help would be appreciated
1stly i decided to upgrade image on my dm800hd clone sim 210 it had nemesis 2.3 and tried to upgrade to nemesis 2.6 using ip address method---when i tried to boot up the CA error came up-- i reflashed using dreamup and got all that sorted (i have flashed on at least 20 diff. images) each image loads up and works normally EXCEPT that on all images i try to go to config tuner and it comes up saying TUNER A empty . i have tried everything of google to fix it but nothing works -- ive opened box and re sat the tuner card -- cleaned it and everything looks fine --the fan works
its just the tuner not being recognised --
can someone help me (is the tuner goosed--does it need diff drivers -- have i missed flashing something etc)
    thanks for reading
    any help much appreciated

    Hi

I presume that when you see "tuner empty" you are pressing right arrow on remote.

Try that if you havent allready and you are using patched images arnt you.

yes ive pressed left right arrows
ive downloaded most of the images off here
most of them say patched ive tried every diff ssl82 to ssl84,a,b even gone back to ssl75 and 76
      rippin my hair out
even tried another tuner in and that doesnt show
its like its missing drivers or something but when i get image on i can download driver packages and that doesnt work
      thanks for your response

        Hi

Normally a driver issue but you say you have tried patched images which should have drivers in them.

This is not a new box but a box you have been using for a while and this has happened when you have tried to upgrade image yeh.

Try flashing image that was on when working correctly.

Also if you have a modem psu or another 800hd psu try that before flashing another image.

        Regards

            Hi

Hopefully yes primary reason is drivers and worse case some caps on tuner but as you have tried another tuner I cant see both tuners being goosed.

You have cleaned and reseated tuner back so a patched image should resolve it and as its not Im suspecting psu.

            Which images have you tried.

            Regards

Try starting another thread on that topic that would help.

Just check image that matches your sim.

              Andy.

                        Hi

Lol I wondered what Andy had posted got me confused and had to check back who started the thread and who I was answering to .

Anyway my monies on psu based on the fact that you are saying you have tried most of the patched images.

Hope its that and resolves your issue.

                        Regards

From most of the threads ive read from this forum and others its a driver problem and you can get latest drivers from ts panel.
Personally would find an older image and go from there.
