DM800 HD PVR Clone boot problem

I hope that someone can help, I have been having a problem with my DM800 HD PVR clone for a couple of weeks and am not sure what to do now. I was trying to upload new bouquets using Dreambox Control Centre, but like an idiot I deleted the wrong files. I had trouble flashing the image, using firefox, but used I.E. and flashed ok. I reloaded sim 2.01 #76D, as was in before. The dreambox still wouldn't boot. Iam not getting the 'No CA Error' that I have read so much about. I reflashed using a couple of images but had the same problem. The flash did appear to go through very quickly ( approx 2-3 seconds) using the webshell. When trying to re-boot the new image was displayed on the dreambox. As a bit of I last resort, drove up to a friends in Biringham who had the same set-up and copied the files that I deleted. Loaded them on my system but no joy. I tried loading the backup I made of his system using Dreambox Control Centre but no joy. Can any one help before I trow the box in the bin, please!!!!!!

    Hi

If its only taking 2/3 seconds then its not flashing as it takes a few minutes so somethings not right.

What other means have you tried for flashing.

    Regards

I have tried using a serial null modem cable, but this didn't seem to work, I tried following the advice on No CA Error threads but this didn't seem to work.

as mast says....the image is not flashing properly...you need to flash an image properly mate...grab an image from the downloads section and make sure it is the same sim version.... the one i use for my dm800 is the openpli with bootloader #82. it has resolved many problems for me.

        give it a try....

ps. flash via the web browser

hold the front power button down and plug in the mains cable....till you see STOP on the screen and then the ip address will appear on the box.

use this ip address on the web browser and follow the on screen instructions from there....sorry if i'm repeating what you done already

I have tried flashing via the web browser, in firefox, and google chrome I click on to flash and then choose the .nfi file and then flash, the web page does not change. In i.e. the page changes straight away to show 100% finished with a button to reboot when finished. When I click on this, the web page just sits there. I hahve tried this on wi-fi and using a patch lead to a network switch.

I went on to Sunray Sunshine SIM2 Free Images Download (Free for SIM2.01/SIM2.10) and downloaded the latest image and flashed using internert explorer (wouldn't work with firefox!) and worked a treat. Thanks to everyone who gave advice.

Search with google for "second stage pack" and read the instructions. Worked for me.
