Need help scaning for Sky scrambled channels

Hey, this is my first post so i want to say sorry if its in the wrong section.

I have a DM800HD im pretty sure its a clone on the front it says: "DVB800 HD PVR", with the box came a disk with CCam and this image: "dm800-SSL76D-EN-S2-GP51-20110302.nfi" which i flashed on my box.

Now currently i have a Fixed 1.2m dish which i used for my sky+ box (so i assume its pointing at 28.2e), so i setup a search with the Dreambox using the following settings:

    tuner config:
    config mode: simple
    mode: single
    satellite: EuroBird1/Astra2A/2B/2D (28.2e)
    send diseqc: No
    Tone Amplitude: 1100Mv

    manual scan settings:
Tuner: Tuner A (that i just setup)
    Type of Scan: Single Transponder
    System: DVB-S
    Satellite: EuroBird1/Astra2A/2B/2D (28.2e)
    Frequency: 10788
    Inversion: Auto
    Symbol Rate: 22000
    polarity: vertical
    FEC: 5/6
    Network Scan: No
    Clear before scan: No
    Only Free Scan: No

the search finds 237 channels most are channels i would expect to find on freeview: BBC,ITV,channel4 there are a couple scrambled channels: At the races, setanta sports, sky living, national geo channel.

but where are all the scrambled sky channels? eg. sky sports, sky movies?

Now my first though was that my dish could be off, although i cant guarantee its not, it was installed several years ago and hasnt really been touched since, i doubt thats the problem since the dish has been working on my Sky+ box for the last couple years.

are my settings correct? am i missing something? all and any help would be fantastic!!

    Seany

    Try changing these
Type of scan - single satellite
    Network scan - yes

the info you posted would be used when doing a manual scan for a channel only.

Okay so changing the settings to type of scan: single satellite and network scan: yes but the search still only found 237 services the exact same amount as before! Anything else?

If the above dont work, maybe its a tuner problem? Do you know how old the box is mate?

                aha spotted you scanned on eurobird as thats on 28.5,rescan on Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2B / Astra 2D / Eutelsat 28A (28.2?E)

sky dish is usually pointed to this sat,so clear before scanning.

The box is around 12-18 months old, i dont know maybe it could be a tuner problem? would that not stop me getting all channels?

when selecting which satellite to scan in the (tuner settings) i dont have the option of Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2B / Astra 2D / Eutelsat 28A (28.2?E), for me it says EuroBird1/Astra2A/2B/2D (28.2e) or must i choose that satelitte somewhere else?

I shall try importing a channel list and see what happens, but surely if it cannot scan the channels i wont be able to view them either...?

Thanks for all the help so far!!

Okay i uploaded the Boutique List you recommended, so now i have the channel lists up correctly, but when i try and view 1 of the channels sky1 HD i just get a black screen and a message saying Tune failed, my SNR: 0% and AGC: 99%, oddly enough this also happens when i try and view BBC world news, which i thought was an FTA channel, which shows it has nothing to do with if the channel is encrypted or fta.

Can anyone suggests what could be wrong? what can i do to fix this?

after a search for information about "tune failed" boxes, its come to my attention that this is probably a faulty Tuner inside my box, considering my box is (im guessing) a clone,

is it worth buying a genuine tuner to install in my box? if so where can i buy them from?

or should i just buy a new genuine dreambox? where is the best place to buys these?

or could it be something else wrong with my box??

have you installed cccam or mgcam and selected one of them ?
also you know the scrambled channels wont unscramble without the correct config file installed don't you?

check the names of channels on kingofsat to see if they match as if you get different names either dish has moved or selected sat is wrong
                            Astra 1N / Astra 2A / Astra 2B / Astra 2D / Eutelsat 28A (28.2E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat
                            Eutelsat 25A (25.5E) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat

do you have another sat box or sky box and is working ok?
