    hi

i have newnigma2 image. if i press blue then go to newnigma2 services then to system info then hard disc then press ok then press red it initializes the hdd. is that not the same as formating the disc. this way you wont need to remove the drive.
    is this the same thing????
    thanks

No to format the drive you have to take it out of the dreambox, but others say this below via a ftp program.

Can you not access your storage drive ? if you can i would delete the cross epg data and try again, or like me reformat the storage drive and that should do it ?
Also what version of newnigma2 do you have due to i had serious issues with the latest one with epg, and went back to version 3.2.

ITgate TGM220 (swapable tuner), Dreambox 800 pro, Dreambox 500c x 2, DBox, Popbox media player.
