    how do i flash a dm 800 with serial null modem cable

    hi
    cant flash my dreambox through router so how do i do it with serial null modem cable?

    Hi mate you have a few options, you need to download Dreamup/optiflasher or Sunray-Flashup.
    I would download them all, and then you have them for the future. They all have the same functions.
    Power off your box, connect the null modem cable, press connect on your program. You should get a message telling you dm800 detected power on your box, power on then you will browse to the image on your pc, and flash.
    The process takes around a hour

      This way is much faster, than via null modem, why are you unable to do it this way? is it as you dont have a router, or your having problems?

          If you're gonna do it with Dreamup and a null modem cable add an ethernet cable with it will speed the flashing up considerably.
