some channels freezing up

some channels on my dreambox 800hd are glitching and freezing up,just wondering if anyones came across this problem,im on openpli 2 image enigma 2,can anyone help me with this.cheers guys.

Have you checked everything your end, cable connections for soundness etc.

If everything fine your end more likelihood is its at your provider end.

I presume this is on $ channels.

hi mate,thanx for reply,yeah server a good one mate im starting to think it might be cccam, ive tried 3 different servers n still freezing and glitching some channels are fine some are that bad it freezes the box up and ive got to reboot from main power.im stuck mate dont know what to do next.i might just toss it out n get new box .

What makes you think servers are good. Is it happening on same channels with the 3 different servers. Are your free channels fine. Does it happen on $ channels or just HD. Clarify this.

Some things you could try.

Have you checked your sat cable for soundness, there are no outer threads touching the centre core.

Have you checked internet connections. How do you connect to internet directly or via homeplugs.

Have you rebooted both box and router/modem.

Could be your dish/lnb.

Try a different image.

800hd could be the tuner you got in there or even heat issues, is box well ventilated, do you use a fan to keep box cool.

That about covers it all. Hope its one of the simpler things.

hi theres only three on the server im on mate all channels are fine the channels that are bad are HD ive checked cables internet is hardwired to back of box the box is well ventilated as for dish and tuner not too sure dish should be fine though it was installed by sky engineer.

Could be an old DM800hd with dodgy tuner....try and get an inline booster to sort it.
What image is on it and what bootloader??

Ok that rules out a few things. When was the dish fitted if fitted a while back then its possible that dish could have gone out of alignment slightly but more likelihood is its the tuner you got in box.

Depending on tuner you have this is a common fault with some 800hd. How long have you had box. There is a capacitor fix for some tuners with this fault or you could replace tuner. Have a look first what tuner you got.

Edit: Frecks said the same thing regarding tuner while I was typing.

dish fitted bout 2 years ago box 1 year old.cheers ill give them things a try. much appreciated guys.

I've had this problem and changed tuner , lnb , image then I read it could be power supply so changed that and all okay now .
