mkv files crash both 800se

i'm using 2 different images on 2 separate 800se's,
one with "Nemesis2-6-dm800se-SVN-108r4-ramiMAHER"
and the other with "SAT4FUN-DM800SE_Newnigma2-3.3.1-SIM2-SSL84B-e3"
i have about 10mb or 11mb free on internal flash.

they both crash when playing any mkv or avi's, or the screen just stays blank! but recorded files play just fine...

i haven't fiddled with any settings,
is there something i'm suppose to download 'n' install?


the damn skybox F3 pretty much run's anything i can throw at it with only "audio format not supported on a few movies". only problem is it's not a dreambox .

any help please?

My SE will play pretty much anything over my local wired network , i have a PLI image on it , tbh i have only ever used pli based images so cant comment on if it works on other images
